Milan winger Rafael Leao has revealed his immense aspirations within the next years to come after having recently renewed his contract with the Rossonerri.
The Portuguese international agreed to sign a new five year deal, extending his stay with the Milanese club until the summer of 2028.
The 24 year-old has proven to be a vital asset to Milan, having played a pivotal role in Pioli’s title winning campaign throughout the 2021/22 Serie A season.
Despite Milan having the worst title defence in history last season as they sealed fourth-place by very thin margins, Leao maintained a great run of form as he notched 16 goals and eight assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
While speaking to Milan-based journal La Gazzetta dello Sport, via TMW, the Portuguese attacker expressed his ambition to achieve European success throughout the years to come with Milan:
“I realized the dream of the Scudetto, now the Champions League is missing, the trophy that all players want to win. In Italy, however, it is difficult to win because there are many strong teams and in 38 games you can never lose points. The European cups, in the last year, have shown that Serie A is a strong championship”.
