Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali is interested in the prospect of joining Newcastle United, with reports in England saying that a fee between the two clubs is about to be agreed.
The Athletic have reported that a fee of €70million is close to being agreed between Milan and Newcastle after progress was made in talks today. Daniele Longo has reported about it further, stating that Tonali has opened up to the idea of playing for the Magpies and joining them this summer.
Tonali currently earns around €2.5 million at Milan but at Newcastle, he would earn a base wage of €6.5 million per season, going upto around €7.5 million. For that wage, Tonali has expressed a willingness to join Newcastle.
Longo also states that a fee between the two clubs is yet to be agreed, with Milan pushing to earn €80 million from the sale, with Newcastle offering around €70 million after their initial approach of around €60 million was pegged back by the Rossoneri.
