No agreement between Milan and Newcastle for Sandro Tonali, suggests Di Marzio

No agreement has been reached between Milan and Newcastle United for midfielder Sandro Tonali, Gianluca di Marzio has reported.

While David Ornstein has stated that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement over a fee of €70 million, Di Marzio has issued his own update about the situation.

It is stated that a meeting involving Milan and Tonali’s agent Giuseppe Riso took place earlier today and they spoke about the midfielder and his future. There is no agreement between the two clubs yet and the meeting was held to understand what will happen in case an offer arrives.

No formal offer has arrived but it was decided that Milan will consider any offers that come their way and Stefano Pioli has not been informed about a sale of the player yet. Tonali has asked his entourage for him to be left calmly and offers from clubs to be presented to him once they are formal in nature. So far, no offers have arrived.
