Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskheliaโs agent has revealed that they have never spoken to the club about leaving the club.
Recently, it was reported that talks between the two parties are on and a release clause has been demanded by the playerโs side. But Napoli publicly rubbished talks of a renewal with a post on social media.
Kvaratskheliaโs agent Mamuka Jugeli recently spoke to CalcioNapoli24 during a live session and he was asked about the playerโs situation and the potential contract renewal at the Partenopei.
He said: โWith Kvaratskhelia, we have never talked about leaving and changing teams, there has never been a situation like this. With the club there are discussions relating to the contract. If the president thinks weโre ready to negotiate, weโre happy with it. The playerโs only goal is to win the Scudetto and have a good run in the Champions League.โ
At the same time, Naples-based outlet Corriere del Mezzogiorno have reported today that there is already an agreement in principle over a new deal for Kvaratskhelia. But it remains to be seen what other developments come through, as the saga continues to rumble on.
