Napoli’s Serie A game against Salernitana has now been postponed to Sunday and this could make sure that their Scudetto win could be celebrated in the Maradona Stadium.
Il Mattino state that while the meeting regarding the rescheduling decision about the game is still ongoing, the decision has been made already – as per the outlet. Napoli had requested the move to make sure that fans could celebrate the Scudetto win inside the stadium, if Lazio fail to beat Inter earlier in the day.
There are very few doubts that the decision will be reversed, with the committee for public order now close to postponing the game for Sunday.
Napoli have to beat Salernitana to seal the Scudetto and Lazio just have to win to make sure that the Partenopei’s wait goes on. Even if the wait goes on, it could end on Tuesday itself when Napoli take on Udinese. The short amount of time between the game involving Salernitana and Udinese had initially brought about doubts about the rescheduling.
