Nice are set to reach an agreement with Francesco Farioli to be their new manager for two years, reports Gianluca di Marzio.
Farioli got his first managerial job with Turkish club Alanyaspor. He joined in December of 2021 and was the manager until February of this year.
Farioli managed Alanyaspor to their highest ever points total last season. A very impressive feat, but even better considering the fact that Farioli is only 34 years old and the Turkish club were his first ever solo venture as a manager.
He decided to resign in February to take some time out from the game and in the hope that he might be able to attain a better job. That chance has now arrived in the form of Nice. He arrived in the city last night and later reached an agreement over a move and he will Nice on a two-year deal.
Nice finished ninth in Ligue 1 last season, a disappointing effort with the quality in their squad. Farioli will be announced soon and take over for the start of pre-season.
