OFFICIAL | Juventus confirm Paul Pogba suspension

Juventus have now confirmed that the club will be suspending midfielder Paul Pogba on a temporary basis.

The Frenchman tested positive for testosterone in a test which was taken after Juve’s Serie A opener against Udinese. He didn’t even play the game but the club have confirmed that the player will serve a temporary suspension, which is something that was confirmed by the Italian Anti-Doping Tribunal.

The Bianconeri have stated in their statement that they have received the order from the Anti-Doping tribunal today and they are adhering to it and are considering the next few steps.

It has been reported that if Pogba’s counter-response to the test isn’t able to prove that he didn’t use the substance, he could be at risk of a ban from the game and the maximum time that he could be out for could be four years. The revelation came out of the blue for the player too, as he was training at the Continassa to be fit for the game against Lazio.
