French goalkeeper Mike Maignan has avoided serious injury and that will come as a relief to Milan, who had seen the ex-Lille man pick up an injury during the Champions League tie against Newcastle United.
Maignan was replaced by Marco Sportiello and while Ruben Loftus-Cheek had also come off, he later revealed that he had only suffered from a cramp.
Sky Italia say that Maignan’s injury is also not serious. An MRI was performed in recent hours and it ruled out any injuries for the France international, with his situation now expected to be monitored on a daily basis to assess as to when he could return to action. The same can be said for Loftus-Cheek’s situation.
More news about the situation of the goalkeeper is expected in the next few hours but things seem positive for the Rossoneri, who managed to get a point from the game against Newcastle United.
