Roger Ibanez’s agent on Nottingham Forest links: “No offers, he wants to stay at Roma”

Roma defender Roger Ibanez’s agent has revealed that no offers have been made from the Premier League, amidst links with Nottingham Forest.

It was reported last night that Forest had made an offer for the Brazilian, but the player’s agent Lodovico Spinosi spoke to TAG24 (via TMW) and he realised that the defender wants to stay at the Giallorossi and no offers have arrived from the Premier League.

He said: “It’s just talk, there hasn’t been any offer to the player from the English club. I have heard rumors of an interest, but no concrete action has followed at the moment. Ibanez is doing very well at Roma and wants to stay, he feels valued by the coach and his teammates. He is in love with the city and the fans, so he wants to continue to playing in the yellow and red shirt. He is totally concentrated in training and giving his best for the team. Naturally, if an offer arrives at the club, we will listen to it.”

Ibanez was previously linked with a move away from the Giallorossi, who then had to earn some cash to stay on the positive side of FFP. But they avoided any restrictions from FFP without his sale, as Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for the ex-Atalanta man.

Tiago Pinto had travelled to London to speak to clubs in England but a move for Ibanez never went through, but it looks like things may change now – even though the player’s agent denied talk.
