Roma close to sealing move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Sardar Azmoun

Roma are looking to sign a centre-forward this summer and they are now close to sealing a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Sardar Azmoun.

Milan have been linked with a move for the Iran international in recent weeks but it seems as if Roma are on the verge of sealing their move. Sky Italia state that talks are at a very advanced stage and the move is likely to close soon enough in what will be a rather surprising move from the Giallorossi.

Roma were keen on landing Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata some days ago but the move didn’t go through as La Dea decided to keep the Colombian, who had agreed personal terms with the capital city side. This left Roma looking at other options and their solution is now set to be found.

Tammy Abraham had sustained an ACL injury some months ago and he will stay out for the forseeable future, meaning that Roma needed a starting centre-forward.
