Serie A PREVIEW | Juventus v Napoli

After bowing out of the Champions League in their last match, league leaders Napoli will aim to continue their stride to secure the Serie A title when they face a rejuvenated Juventus side today at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus skyrocketed to third place in the league standings after the reapplication of their 15 rebuked points. This will be the first league match for the Bianconeri after that event and following Lazio’s defeat, they have the perfect chance to move to second place.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side secured safe passage to the semi-finals of the Europa League after knocking out Sporting in the 2nd leg of the two-legged quarter-finals in a close encounter. Juventus will aim to make amends as they suffered defeats in their last two Serie A matches. It will be a tough one today for the hosts but they will find some added inspiration from the reinstatement of points and their Europa League achievements.

Meanwhile, Napoli will aim to get back to winning ways as they haven’t found a victory in each of their last three games across all competitions.

The Serie A title is well and truly in the Partenopei’s hands and they will hope to finish this historical season on a high by winning their remaining fixtures. The last few games of the season will prove crucial for Victor Osimhem and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who have found enormous success in attacking statistics this term as they will hope to add to their tallies.

After winning 5-1 in a dominating performance earlier this season, the Neapolitans could complete the fourth league double in Serie A history over the Bianconeri today if they manage to get the three points.
