Tottenham set to speak to Roma for Roger Ibañez

Tottenham were previously said to be interested in the possibility of signing Roma’s Roger Ibañez and talks are expected for the Brazilian defender today.

Roman outlet Il Messaggero have reported about Tiago Pinto’s visit to London today, with the Roma sporting director flying to England to speak to clubs about potential sales and signings. Sales, it seems, will be the focus of the visit and Ibañez is expected to be sold this summer.

Tiago Pinto will speak to Tottenham today to potentially close a deal for the Brazilian defender, who is valued at €30 million by the Giallorossi. He will be sold to make sure that Roma meet the FFP criteria that has been charted out for them over the last year or so.

In his trip to London, Pinto will also try to close the sale of Justin Kluivert to Bournemouth, with the Dutchman likely to be sold to the Cherries for about €10 million. As things stand, a meeting with West Ham for Gianluca Scamacca is not planned as the trip is said to be focusing on sales only.
