Inter’s Francesco Acerbi reveals ‘I’ll beat you black’ was misheard by Napoli’s Juan Jesus

Inter defender Francesco Acerbi believes that what he was said to Napoli’s Juan Jesus was misheard by the defender and that is why he is being accused of making racial remarks by the Brazilian.

The investigation into the case is already undergoing and Acerbi is yet to speak to the prosecutor who is in-charge of the case. But his defence is already prepared and he has previously told that he didn’t make any racially offensive remarks and he was simply misheard.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via CalcioNapoli24) state that Acerbi indeed believes that what he said was misheard and he never called Jesus the n-word or a ‘black’ in a racial manner. He has told Inter that he simply threatened Jesus by saying that ‘I will beat you black’ which is the English equivalent of ‘beating black and blue’.

Inter are waiting for what will happen in the case and their decision hinges on the decision made by the Prosecutor after the hearing is complete. Acerbi’s future will be considered rather strongly, if he is found guilty of making racial remarks against Jesus on Sunday.
