Milan entering final stages in move for Lille boss Paulo Fonseca

Serie A giants Milan are seemingly very close to sealing a move for Lille manager Paulo Fonseca.

The Rossoneri have already announced that manager Stefano Pioli will leave at the end of the season, having won them the Scudetto and having made them a regular presence in the Champions League.

Daniele Longo has now reported about Milan’s managerial chase, reporting that a move for Fonseca is quite close and a key meeting is set to take place next week, which could see the parties essentially finalise the switch for the Portuguese boss, who has previously had a stint at Roma.

Longo further goes on to state that Marseille have been out of the race for about two weeks now and the move to Milan is now just one step away.

In recent weeks, it has been reported that Fonseca was waiting for a move to Milan and had put talks with Lille on hold and was prepared to reject Marseille as well.
