Napoli now seem set to win the race for Serbian talent Matija Popovic, as he seems set to join Frosinone on loan.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Napoli and Frosinone are now preparing to welcome the teenager, who will undergo a medical at the Partenopei soon before joining Frosinone on the loan deal. The two clubs worked together to seal the move and it has come off.

Final documents of the deal are being prepared and the move is expected to go through soon. Both the clubs are already advancing in talks with the entourage of the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who seemed close to joining Milan not too long ago.

The teenager is currently a free agent after his contract at Partizan Belgrade ran out and while he has never played for a senior side yet, he is known to be one of the highest rated youngsters in Europe right now. He played 25 games for the Partizan Under-17s side and scored 21 goals, getting five assists.
