There is a possibility that Serie A star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be handed a contract like the one that Victor Osimhen signed not long ago.
Osimhen signed a new deal which has a hefty release clause and he could depart, if another club triggers that release clause. Paris Saint-Germain are interested and so are Premier League clubs.
But Kvaratskhelia could also be handed a similar contract, so that Napoli keep him away from other clubs atleast in the short term and only lose him at a prime cost.
La Repubblica (via CN24) state that the Georgian’s future will be a key issue in the summer. Barcelona and Real Madrid are keeping tabs on him, but the player currently prefers staying at the Partenopei despite interest from other clubs.
To keep him at the club, Napoli could hand him a renewal that is similar to the Osimhen one. It would please everyone and the issue could be resolved at least for some more months.
