Police catch Torino spy watching Roma training ahead of Serie A clash

Police have recently caught a Torino spy secretly watching a Roma training session ahead of the Serie A clash involving the two sides.

Corriere dello Sport (via Calcio e Finanza) have reported today that Michele Orecchio, who writes opposition scouting reports for Ivan Juric at Torino while sometimes going beyond confidentiality, was caught by the police yesterday.

The Roman police intercepted a man hidden among the trees in the area around Trigoria who was dressed in black and was unrecognizable, was looking towards the Roma training centre. He carried a large backpack, binoculars, camera and a hat to avoid being recognised. The man was indeed Orecchio, who the police thus identified and then removed from the area.

The report states that Orecchio couldn’t gather much information about Daniele de Rossi’s approach for the game but Roma are not happy with what happened. They could soon seek clarification from Torino about what happened.
