Roma’s Andrea Belotti set to join Fiorentina

Roma striker Andrea Belotti is now set to join Serie A rivals Fiorentina before the transfer deadline day tomorrow.

The Florence based side have been keen on making new additions this month and have also been linked with a move for Gio Reyna. But it seems as if they have sealed an attacking arrival.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via RomaNews) have reported that the Italian’s move to La Viola is pretty much done and it will be made official later today. Belotti will arrive on a loan deal till the end of the season and while the salary issue is yet to be fully resolved, it will be sorted out soon.

He currently earns €2.5 million per season at Roma, but Fiorentina will pay a little less than half his wage as part of the loan deal. Belotti’s desire to join La Viola proved to be key as there were other clubs interested, but his willingness made sure that the move is about to come to fruition.
