The situation of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s new Napoli deal explained

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was key to help Napoli win the Serie A last season and there has been constant talk about the possibility of him signing a new deal.

His agent Mamuka Jugeli recently spoke to the Georgian version of La Gazzetta dello Sport and mentioned that if a huge offer arrives for the player, Napoli could sell him but CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is making his own valuations about the player and his price.

Marco Conterio today has provided some more details about the situation. Kvaratskhelia currently earns only €1.3 million per season, with his contract running out in the summer of 2027. He is becoming an increasingly prominent figure at the club this season, but him and his agent have specific demands about the new deal.

They expect a new contract proposal to be worth at least €4 million per season and bonuses. If the club deems it appropriate, they could also discuss about the possibility of adding a release clause similar to that of Victor Osimhen.

Barcelona are already interested in the Georgian and Liverpool could also see him as a potential option, if Mohamed Salah departs at some point. Regardless, the idea is that significant figures will be needed to convince Napoli and as his agent mentioned, the player would not be against a move if Napoli accept an offer.
