Serie A side Milan are struggling to keep hold of Mike Maignan and there is a rising possibility of them losing the Frenchman.
Daniele Longo has reported that even if the keeper signed a new deal until 2031 earlier this year, his future could be uncertain again. He isnโt happy with the direction in which the club is going, with close aides in Max Allegri and Claudio Filippi now gone. They were the reason he rejected Chelsea last summer.
Now, it remains to be seen if the Blues step forward again. Maignanโs entourage is waiting for signals from Milan about what their intentions are. They would be open to a Chelsea move this time around.
The only thing that can possibly convince him about staying is the appointment of a top-class director, followed by the arrival of a top-class manager.

Chelsea faced major goalkeeping worries across the previous season. They need a new player in that role and Maignan is a proven name who could push for a move.ย
He has injury concerns from the past and his weaknesses have come to the fore more often in recent years. But he still has the upside of being experienced and someone who makes a mark during big games. The 2024/25 campaign was more problematic than the previous one and it is fair to say he has put his personal bad times behind himself.
