Goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has made the switch from Serie A side Parma to Aston Villa.ย
Parma officially announced the departure of Zion Suzuki earlier today through its X channel. The Japanese shot-stopper signed for Premier League outfit Aston Villa on a contract until the summer of 2031.ย
According to an update by Nico Schira, Aston Villa paid a transfer fee of โฌ30 million plus โฌ5 million in bonuses to seal the permanent signing of Suzuki. Get Italian Football News reported on this development, in which Villa matched PSGโs valuation of โฌ35 million for the player, after the French giants pulled themselves out of the race.ย
Suzukiโs arrival at the Birmingham-based side will affect Emiliano Martinezโs position, and Juventus have been following the Argentine for quite some time now in hopes of a possible transfer. Another option for the Bianconeri remains Tottenhamโs Guglielmo Vicario. However, right now, Martinez seems like a more achievable target for Juventus.ย
