Inter offered chance to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Inter have been offered a chance to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Loftus-Cheek is unsatisfied with life under Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge. A move for him would not be as complicated as the one for Romelu Lukaku, with Maurizio Sarri also interested in signing him at Lazio.

For Inter, Chelsea’s asking price is high. The club value him at €20 million, which is too much for the Nerazzurri but the situation is said to be evolving. A loan deal can come to the fore and that loan will be less complicated than the one involving Lukaku. The midfielder’s wage demand of €3.5 million per season would not be an issue for Inter.

In Simone Inzaghi’s midfield, Loftus-Cheek would present a different profile as compared to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Kristjan Asllani. He would operate where Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino operated in the heart and the park and it is suggested that the Englishman would like Serie A as an option for his future.

The move to Lazio does not seem viable currently. But while Inter have said ‘no’ to the initial offer, they are not keeping an eye on his situation.
