Juventus’ Paul Pogba returns to Turin ahead of surgery decision

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has now returned to Turin from Lyon and he will make a decision regarding his injury soon.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Pogba flew to Lyon earlier today to meet doctor Bertrand Sonnery-Cotter. He sought the knee expert’s opinion on whether he should seek surgery on the meniscus of the right knee.

The Frenchman took off from Turin at 11:30am earlier today and landed in Lyon about a half an hour later. He met Sonnery-Cotter there and he boarded a flight from Lyon at 3pm, landing in Turin 30 minutes later. The midfielder was limping on arrival and refused to comment on his situation.

The ex-Manchester United man had picked up the injury in training some days ago and as things stand, he faces some weeks out of action. A surgery or operation will rule him out of the FIFA World Cup later this year but not opting for surgery could keep him free to take part in the competition and return by October.
