Lazio unwilling to receive Napoli’s Petagna as part of the Luis Alberto deal

Maurizio Sarri wants to get rid of Luis Alberto this summer. But he doesn’t want what Napoli are offering in return.

According to a report from Il Messaggero, Lazio want to sell the Spaniard this summer, with Napoli showing interest in the former Liverpool midfielder.

As reported previously, they are willing to include Andrea Petagna in a potential deal for the 29-year-old. But the report suggests that Sarri doesn’t want Petagna as the Tuscan head coach would reportedly prefer moves for Francesco Caputo and Andrea Pinamonti over the Napoli striker.

Napoli are on brink of losing Fabian Ruiz to a free transfer this summer. Represented by the same agent as Ruiz, Alberto is valued at €30million and is on a salary of €2.5million per season in a contract that runs until June 2025.
