Milan’s Daniel Maldini on the brink of joining Hellas Verona

Daniel Maldini, 20, is ready for his first experience outside Milan as he inches closer to his first loan move amid this summer transfer window.

According to Il Mattino, Daniel Maldini is one step away from joining Hellas Verona on a season-long loan deal. The report claims that only the signing of the youngster is missing on Verona’s contract.

Born and bred in Milan, a baby-faced Maldini joined Milan’s academy at the age of nine. Over the years, having honed his footballing skills, the son of Paolo eventually made his senior debut for the club in 2020.

Last season, the player picked up 13 appearances across all competitions for the Rossoneri.

Being a member of the senior team, he also got the winners’ medal as a result of Rossoneri’s first Scudetto victory since the 2010/11 season.

Now, he feels the need to play some regular football. And the prospect of getting regular playing time at Milan is rather unlikely. As such, he is set to leave the club.
