Milan make contact for Schalke’s Malick Thiaw

Milan have now made contact to sign Schalke’s young defender Malick Thiaw this summer.

The Rossoneri are looking to sign a centre-back this summer, with the option to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah now closed. The Blues have decided to not sell the Englishman despite the upcoming arrival of Wesley Fofana. Thiaw and Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga are one of the Rossoneri’s targets.

Antonio Vitiello has reported that Milan have now made contact for the potential signing of Thiaw and in recent hours, contacts with the defender’s agent have intensified. Thiaw’s profile has been liked a fair bit by the Rossoneri management in recent times and they had tried to sign him back in January last season too.

Thiaw featured for Schalke in the German club’s Bundesliga game against Union Berlin recently. But Schalke were torn apart by the side from the German capital, as they lost by a dominating 6-1 scoreline earlier today.
