OFFICIAL | Nikola Milenkovic signs new Fiorentina contract

Serie A side Fiorentina have successfully extended the contract of their centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.

The Serbian was heavily linked with a move to the likes of Juventus and Inter earlier this summer and the sporting directors of both clubs had held talks with the defender. It was reported that Milenkovic’s agent had an agreement with the club that he would be allowed to leave if a small valuation is met.

The club have announced now that the defender has renewed his deal at the club till the summer of 2027 and he had only signed a short-term renewal last summer, when he was linked with West Ham. That move, of course, didn’t materialise.

Last summer, the 24-year-old had been an important part of Vincenzo Italiano’s side and he played 34 Serie A games, while scoring once. Fiorentina will play in the UEFA Conference League this season and it will be the first time that he will play in European competition in his career.
