Serie A side Monza make offer for Arsenal’s Pablo Mari

Newly promoted Serie A side Monza have now made an offer to sign Arsenal defender Pablo Mari.

It was reported yesterday that Monza are close to sealing the signature of Pablo Mari, but they had not made an offer to sign the player.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the offer has now been made by Monza and Arsenal have received it, but they are yet to respond to it so far. The move is said to be coming ever closer because of the offer, with the newly promoted Serie A outfit offering an initial loan deal with obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

Gabriele Cioffi’s Hellas Verona were also interested in the player and the Spaniard had played under Cioffi at Udinese last season and had actually impressed there. But Monza are winning the race for the player, as they look to sign a reliable defender.

He scored two goals for Udinese last season and arrived at the club on loan in January from Arsenal, where had failed to impress under Mikel Arteta.
