Galatasaray’s talks for Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo stop due to Turkey earthquake

Galatasaray have temporarily stopped their talks with Roma for their move involving Nicolo Zaniolo.

While the earthquake’s epicentre was on the Syrian border, it has affected Turkey massively. The league has been temporarily brought to a half, because of the crisis-like situation in the country.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that because of this disaster, Galatasaray’s talks for Zaniolo with Roma have also been suspended for the time being. They have definitely not ended but due to the situation in Turkey and the expectation that things may not be normal for sometime, Gala have backed away from transfers, for the time being.

Zaniolo and his family are awaiting any developments, with the player’s last resort being a move to Turkey. Otherwise, he would only have to leave Roma in the summer. Fenerbahçe are also interested in the player and have made it clear that they are willing to meet the asking price and the release clause demands.
