West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca gives approval to Roma return

West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca would be interested in the possibility of returning to Roma this summer.

The Italian has been linked with a move to both Roma and Milan in recent weeks, having played for the Giallorossi’s youth sides many years ago.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Scamacca would be happy to return to Roma, who are now looking to take advantage of the upper hand they have over the Rossoneri in this transfer saga.

As a result, Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto will travel to London to hold talks about the player and he will hold a meeting with Scamacca’s agents and West Ham executives to potentially thrash out a loan deal. They have already offered a loan deal to the Hammers, with Milan also having made contact.

The Italian has struggled in his time at England so far, having failed to break into the first team under David Moyes, who has guided West Ham to a Conference League win.
